Sioux Falls Curling is committed to providing a safe environment by taking necessary precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
- To help curlers spread out on the ice, starting ends will alternate between each sheet. Games on A, C and E will start on the east end of the rink. Games on B and D will start on the west end of the rink.
- Separate entrances will be assigned per sheet (for example, curlers playing on sheet A will have a separate place to enter the ice than curlers on sheet D).
- Stones and equipment will be sanitized prior to each game.
Curlers are encouraged to take the following precautions to increase safety:
- If you are sick, or have been around someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, stay home.
- Do your best to maintain distance from others such as refraining from shaking hands and avoid congregating in groups.
- Avoid sharing equipment when possible and throw the same two stones each end.
- Wear gloves (winter gloves work) when touching shared equipment.
- Wear a mask.
- Broomstack outside whenever possible.
Additional guidance will be provided during league announcements.
Refund policy:
If league is cancelled due to COVID-19, Sioux Falls Curling will provide refunds of league fees* on a prorated basis. Annual membership fees are non-refundable.
* Ten percent of league fees will be non-refundable in order to cover administrative costs involved in league set up.
